Selling through a recession

In times of difficulty the first instinct is to cut all unnecessary costs. This seminar explains why that is so dangerous. It will show you
  • How to stop your competitors stealing your customers
  • How to get more business from your existing customers
  • How to exploit your competitors’ weaknesses
  • How to win new customers at very little cost
We have lived and prospered through 5 separate recessions as a result of working in the electronics industry, where recessions happen every 5 years. In this seminar we will share the secrets that helped us develop our business from under £2 million to over £20 million.

Most companies go through 4 separate stages when they encounter a recession.
  • Denial. The first reaction is to deny that there is a recession looming, or that they will be affected by it. For some reason we all think we are immune from negative market forces. The reality is that none of us are.
  • Attack. Once the business owner recognises they are being affected the first reaction is to try to win business from their competitors. In fact this is the worst time to do this. In the seminar we will explain why.
  • Retreat. once all attempts to steal the competitors' business have failed, most owners start to cut non essential costs, such as marketing and training. By doing so they make themselves vulnerable to the smart competitors that know how to profit from a recession. We'll explain why timing is critical to succeeding in a recession.
  • Surrender. There's now nothing to do but cut everything, as sales and profits fly out of the window. If you thought you were vulnerable before, watch what happens now.

If you want to be one of the smart companies that actually profits from a recession (and you aren't in stage 1) you can't afford to miss this seminar.
