We will also look at the personalities of the people in the organisation that the new salesperson needs to work with.
We then create a job specification and a person specification, so that we know exactly what type of person we are looking for and what they will need to do, including the skills and experience that they will need.
We help you to decide the salary and incentive scheme. Using our extensive knowledge of sales motivation and reward schemes we can show you how other companies reward their sales people, and why some of the schemes work well, and some don’t.
We advertise the job for you. We know the best places to advertise sales jobs and how to write the advert in order to attract the best candidates.
We filter the many applications and telephone interview the most promising. We then arrange face to face interviews for the best applicants. When we advertise a sales position for a client we usually get in excess of a hundred applications. We do all the work to reduce that to a really good short list for you.
The face to face interviews we conduct with you. At this stage you need to be sure that you will be comfortable working with your new recruit, so we involve you in the final interviews, then together we make the final choice.
Finally we create the offer letter and notify the unsuccessful candidates of our joint decision. We check the references of the chosen candidate and follow up with them until they have started working for you.
In other words, we do the whole thing for you.
Recruiting sales people is very difficult. We frequently meet companies that have failed in their recruitment of their first sales people. That is understandable, as they are so different from the business owner, who has to get sales, but is usually not a sales person.
